A Bipartisan Nation of Beneficiaries
 A
majority of Americans (55%) have received government benefits at some
point in their lives from at least one of the six best-known federal
entitlement programs. A new Pew Research Center survey also finds few
large differences by partisanship but some variances by gender, race and
other demographic characteristics among those who have received such
benefits.
