Study: Older workers to be needed
Growth-minded companies in Georgia will need older workers to fill future jobs, according to a report released Wednesday by AARP. The number of American workers 55 and older is expected to grow four times faster than the rest of the work force during the next decade. That trend holds true in Georgia, where the proportion of workers 65 and older is growing substantially while the pool of younger workers is shrinking. Over the next decade, Georgia will continue to expand and see significant job growth as well as worker shortages, according to the report.
