IBM pension change not biased, court says
Ruling frees firm from $1.4 billion settlementInternational Business Machines Corp. did not commit age discrimination when it changed its pension coverage in the 1990s, a federal appeals court in Chicago ruled Monday in a case that the company had agreed to settle for up to $1.4 billion if it had lost its appeal.
